Recharge and Reconnect
I’m passionate about gathering together groups of women and creating supportive spaces for connection, self-reflection, creative expression, empowerment and healing. When women gather with intentions to grow, share, connect, and nurture, it's dynamic and powerful. After a decade of leading retreats with both men and women, I've shifted my focus to working exclusively with women.
I’m also passionate about the power of writing as a form of self-validation, self-discovery, and growth. Most of my programs use writing as a method for reflection and expression. We're not writing to get published, in other words, and no prior writing experience is necessary.
All my gatherings also involve contemplative practices to foster awareness, presence, empathy, and courage. My aim, always, is to help you connect deeply with yourself and hold yourself dear.
I'm pleased to be able to offer short workshop retreats and multi-day retreats. During these pandemic times, all offerings are virtual, but once it's safe to be out and about again, I regularly offer in-person retreats and gatherings as well.
Throughout the year, retreats are offered on a variety of topics.

“A woman needs an embracing, open-armed space where she can go to dissolve, go to seed, and regerminate. A place to be still and tend to new roots…in a place like that she can begin to heal what is wounded, recover what is lost. She can remember herself.”
~Sue Monk Kidd, Dance of the Dissident Daughter

spaces are limited
THE HELD SPACE is a virtual women’s circle, a monthly Zoom gathering for women, to create an opportunity to come together and connect deliberately with ourselves and with one another. These groups will be a way of intentionally holding space together; holding space means being physically, mentally, and emotionally present, and we often talk about holding space for others. In these gatherings, I want to invite you to hold space for yourselves as well as for the other women to who gather with us. I want it to be a space in which we all feel held. To that end, I’m calling these groups The Held Space.
Each monthly circle will have a theme, and in each gathering I’ll share some short reflections on the theme, and then I’ll offer guided writing prompts to help you check in with yourself, as well as space and invitation to build connection with the other women who choose to join.
For those who register, you’ll be sent a Zoom link for the gathering on the day of the event.
Please note: if you register but then your schedule changes and you’re unable to attend, no worries! I’ll send you the recording of the event and the writing prompts and you can engage with the prompts whenever it’s convenient for you.
Winter is a challenging time for many, and this retreat offers support in reframing how you think about winter in order to see it as a time of deep nourishment. In this group retreat, we explore themes of mindfulness, resilience, self-honoring, embodiment, earth-connection, hibernation, creativity, and the Danish concept of hygge as helpful strategies for supporting yourself during the winter months. Guided reflective writing prompts will be used throughout the retreat to help you engage more deeply with the material and to reveal self-insight. This retreat will be virtual, using Zoom. Space is limited to 12 participants.
Retreat dates/times: Sat-Sun Jan16-16, 2-5pm Eastern Time (US)
In this retreat we’ll focus on writing as a practice of self-discovery. I’ll use techniques to stimulate a rewarding and insightful process for you of discovering self-insight on the page. You won’t be forced to share anything you produce with the group, but there will be chances to discuss writing that does occur for you during the retreat, if you wish. The retreat will include guided writing exercises, group discussions, and mini-lessons on craft aspects of writing. You will generate new writing to explore further on your own and gain insights about yourself. This retreat is flexible enough for writers of any level. This retreat is virtual and will use Zoom. Space is limited to 12 participants.
Coming for winter/spring 2022; dates announced soon
In this retreat, we’ll use a variety of techniques to develop what is required of us to move forward with purpose and power, to voice our convictions, and speak our truths. Tune deeply into yourself, develop presence in the moment, find empathy for yourself and others, and call in your own innate courage and resilience. This retreat will offer a safe space to hold the tension of the moment, experience the power of your own words, and find solace within a supportive group of women. This retreat will be virtual, using Zoom. Space is limited to 12 participants.
